This article will explain what you can see when you navigate to the Sites option under the web menu


πŸ” Use Case / Scenario

As well as archiving communications, MirrorWeb can also archive your websites. You will have arranged these as part of your onboarding. From this page you can see all the individual websites that we capture for you.


πŸ› οΈ Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Log into Insight here: https://my.mirrorweb.com

  2. The dashboard will load

  3. From here, click on Web on the left hand side

  4. This screen shows

    • all the web sites that we archive for you

    • the number of captures that we have

    • the date the capture was set up

    • To view an individual profile, you can click anywhere on that row

    • You will see a paginated list of captures

    • The top level informaton shown is

      • An instance ID

      • The date of capture

      • The total size of the archive in megabytes

      • How many URLs were captured

      • Status (completed / in progress)

    • With a link to View the capture

    • What can we see here?

      • Replay options
        You may or may not see all of these - MirrorWeb has alternate replay engines which are use-case dependent

      • Headline stats on status, URLs and size

      • Crawler details

        • When it started

        • When it finished

        • Total duration

        • Which crawler was used

        • Which IP address was used

      • A mimetype analysis graph (the different types of assets captured)

      • The logs and reports associated with the capture

    • How do I see the replay?

      • Just click on replay and you'll be presented with a fully navigable, detailed capture of your website from a given point in time

  • There are some additional options for you as well

  • Taking these from left to right

    • View the timeline of the captures

    • Archive Compare

      • If you want to see how a page has changed over time

      • Click on the calendar icon and select a date

      • Click on Update
        You will see both captures side by side. They are easily identifiable with the date banner at the top

    • Export Options
