This guide will walk you through the process of connecting your Zoom SMS environment to MirrorWeb Insight for compliance archiving.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, please ensure:
Zoom Account Access: You must be a Zoom Account Administrator to complete this setup.
10DLC Registration (for SMS): To enable Zoom SMS, there is a requirement to register your business with a 10DLC brand and campaign to comply with carrier regulations.
Connection Request Email: You should have received a connection request email from MirrorWeb at
[email protected]. If you haven't received this email, please check your spam/junk folders or contact your MirrorWeb Onboarding Specialist.
Setup Process
Step 1: Locate the Connection Request Email
Your Zoom Account Administrator will receive an email from [email protected] with the subject line referencing the Zoom SMS connection.
Step 2: Click the Activate Button
Open the connection request email and click the Activate button.
This will redirect you to the Zoom authorization page.
Step 3: Sign In with Zoom Administrator Credentials
When prompted, sign in using your Zoom Account Administrator credentials.
Important - Please confirm before authorization:
You are logging in with the correct Zoom Administrator account
The account you use to sign in must have Administrator privileges in Zoom
Step 4: Review and Accept Permissions
Click the link in the email, and follow the steps outlined on the Zoom website.
After signing in, you'll see a permissions consent screen displaying the permissions MirrorWeb Insight is requesting.
To proceed:
Click Accept or Authorize to grant MirrorWeb Insight the necessary permissions
Step 5: Confirmation
Once you click Accept, you should see a success message confirming that the connection has been established.
At this point, the Zoom SMS connection to MirrorWeb Insight is complete.
Verification
To verify that Zoom SMS data is flowing into the archive:
Start a new search by going to Communications >> Search within MirrorWeb Insight
Under Platforms, select Zoom SMS as the target platform
Select a date range for your query, and tap the Search button
Click on a message on the left hand side to view the message details
Important: Zoom SMS messages typically take 24 hours to be ingested into the Insight platform.
Troubleshooting
Common Issues
Issue: SMS messages not appearing after 48 hours
Solution:
Verify that 10DLC registration is complete for your Zoom account (required for SMS archiving)
Confirm that users are actively sending/receiving SMS messages through Zoom SMS
Contact MirrorWeb Support at
[email protected]if messages still don't appear after 48 hours
Issue: Connection request email not received
Solution:
Check spam/junk folders
If still not found, contact your MirrorWeb Onboarding Specialist to resend the connection request
Removing the MirrorWeb Archiver for Zoom SMS
If you need to remove the MirrorWeb Archiver for Zoom SMS account from your organization, please carry out the following steps:
Please note: If you remove the app you will need to request an authentication email again from Support to reactivate.
Login to your Zoom Account and navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace
Click Manage >> Added Apps or search for the "MirrorWeb Archiver for Zoom SMS" app
Click the MirrorWeb Archiver for Zoom SMS app
Click Remove
