To archive your Bloomberg communications with MirrorWeb, you'll need to configure your Bloomberg SFTP account to allow MirrorWeb to connect securely. Follow these steps:

Note: Any issues with the below, we recommend contacting Bloomberg Support and sharing the MirrorWeb Credentials & Information shared at the bottom of this article to ask that they assist in the set-up of the SFTP.


Step 1: Request Bloomberg SFTP access (if needed)

If you don't already have a Bloomberg SFTP account set up, create a support inquiry with Bloomberg through one of the following channels:

If you previously used another archiving provider, you may already have SFTP credentials and can skip this step.


Step 2: Add MirrorWeb's credentials to Bloomberg Enterprise Console

As an Administrator, configure your Bloomberg SFTP account to allow MirrorWeb access:

  1. Log in at console.bloomberg.com (or run EC in terminal)

  2. Click the Connectivity tab

  3. Under SFTP, select Monitor and Manage

  4. Hover over and click on your account number

  5. Click IP Allowlist and add MirrorWeb's IP addresses (found in the MirrorWeb Credentials section above)

  6. Click Credentials and upload:

    • MirrorWeb's SSH public key (found in the MirrorWeb Credentials section below)

  7. For adding MirrorWeb's PGP public key, please contact Bloomberg support through one of the channels listed in Step 1, as this may require their assistance to configure.


Step 3: Share your Bloomberg SFTP details with MirrorWeb

Provide the following information to your MirrorWeb onboarding specialist:

  • SFTP hostname

  • SFTP username

Once configured, MirrorWeb will connect to your Bloomberg SFTP account to begin archiving your communications.

IP 2: 3.11.117.151/32

Dear Bloomberg Support,

We need to set up SFTP access to enable compliance archiving with our provider, MirrorWeb. Please configure a daily automated export of our compliance data to your secure SFTP site, including:

  • Bloomberg Mail communications (MSG format)

  • Instant Bloomberg messaging (IB)

  • All associated files and attachments

Configuration requirements:

Please configure our SFTP account with the following MirrorWeb credentials:

IP Allowlist:

  • 18.218.192.57/32

  • 3.11.117.151/32

Authentication method: SSH key authentication (no password required)

Once configured, please provide us with:

  • SFTP hostname

  • SFTP username

Our firm code is: [Your firm code]

Please confirm when the setup is complete so we can proceed with our archiving integration.
