Summary
Privileged phrases let you configure words or phrases that are excluded from message search results. You manage them on the Privileged phrases tab under Search exclusions, where each phrase has a name, a value, an optional platform scope, and a content scope that controls whether the subject, body, or both are checked.
Prerequisites
Access to MirrorWeb Insight
Privileged write permission to add phrases; privileged delete permission to remove them
NOTE: The Privileged phrases tab may not be visible to all organisations — it needs to be enabled for your organisation, and may still be rolling out.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Open the Privileged phrases tab
Go to Search exclusions and select the Privileged phrases tab. The section heading reads Privileged Phrases with the subtitle "Configure privileged phrases to be excluded from message search results".
Step 2: Open the Create phrase form
Click Add. A modal titled Create phrase opens.
Step 3: Complete the phrase fields
Phrase name (placeholder "Enter a name for your phrase...").
Phrase value (placeholder "Enter a value for your phrase...").
Scoped Platforms - "Select the platforms this phrase should be scoped to. Leave blank to scope to all platforms."
Content Scope - "Select whether to check the subject, body, or both for privileged content phrases." Options are Both, Body, and Subject.
Step 4: Save the phrase
Click Add (shows "Adding..." while submitting). A success toast confirms "Phrase created" with "Your phrase has been created successfully."
Step 5: Manage existing phrases
The phrase appears in a table with columns Name, Phrase, Content scope, and Created. Use the Search by name or phrase value... box and sort dropdown to find phrases. Each row has an edit (pencil) and delete (trash) action. Deleting prompts "Are you sure you want to delete ...? You cannot undo this action."
Notes
IMPORTANT: Privileged marker matching is evaluated at ingest only and is not retroactive; it affects future messages.
