Summary
The Search exclusions area (heading "Search exclusions", subtitle "Manage exclusions for your searches") lets you exclude certain senders and content from message search results. It is organised into tabs for privileged and marketing addresses, and — where enabled — privileged phrases. Excluded phrases for flagging are managed separately (see "How to manage flag exclusions").
Prerequisites
Access to MirrorWeb Insight
Read permission for the exclusion type you wish to view (privileged read and/or marketing read). Tabs you lack access to are not shown.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Open Search exclusions
Navigate to Search exclusions. Depending on your permissions, you are taken to the first available tab (privileged addresses if you have privileged read access, otherwise marketing addresses).
Step 2: Review the available tabs
The tabs shown depend on your permissions and enabled features:
Privileged addresses - exclude specific senders/domains from search results (shown with privileged read access). See "How to add and manage privileged addresses".
Privileged phrases - exclude content by phrase (only shown when privileged phrases are enabled for your organisation). See "How to add and manage privileged phrases".
Marketing addresses - exclude marketing senders/domains from search results (shown with marketing read access). See "How to add and manage marketing addresses".
Step 3: Open a tab to manage that exclusion type
Select a tab to view its table, where you can add, edit, delete, export, or bulk-upload entries. Each exclusion type has its own dedicated article linked above for the detailed steps.
Notes
NOTE: Excluded phrases for flagging policies are managed on a separate Excluded phrases page, not within the Search exclusions tabs. See "How to manage flag exclusions (exclude phrases)".
IMPORTANT: Marketing and privileged address classification is fixed at ingest time and is not retroactive; changes only affect future messages.
NOTE: The Privileged phrases tab may not be visible to all organisations — it needs to be enabled for your organisation.
