Summary
Instead of adding addresses one at a time, you can upload many marketing or privileged addresses from a CSV file. The bulk upload is available on both the Marketing addresses and Privileged addresses tabs, and includes a downloadable template that matches the expected columns.
Prerequisites
Access to MirrorWeb Insight
Write permission for the relevant address type (marketing or privileged)
A CSV file in the template format (see below)
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Open the relevant tab
Go to Search exclusions and select either Marketing addresses or Privileged addresses, depending on which type you are uploading.
Step 2: Open the upload modal
Click Upload (in the empty state) or the upload icon (when addresses already exist). A modal titled Add marketing addresses or Add privileged addresses opens.
Step 3: Download the template
In the modal body ("Upload [marketing/privileged] addresses from a CSV file."), click the Click here link to "download a template and get started". The template includes the columns: address_name, address_value, match_type, all_platforms, and one column per platform in your organisation.
NOTE: match_type must be exact, domain, or partial. all_platforms and each platform column accept Y or N (anything else is treated as N). address_value accepts an email address or a domain. If address_name is left blank, the address value is used as the name.
Step 4: Select your CSV file
Click the upload icon next to the Select CSV... field and choose your file. The file must be a .csv; otherwise the form shows "Invalid file selected. Please select a CSV file".
Step 5: Upload
Click Upload (shows "Uploading..." while submitting). On success a toast confirms the addresses uploaded successfully. If the CSV is malformed, the modal shows "Looks like theres something wrong in your CSV file. Please check all columns are filled correctly and try again."
Notes
NOTE: When addresses already exist, the modal shows: "Note: this will merge with existing [marketing/privileged] addresses rather than overwrite them."
NOTE: If the upload fails, the error toast advises: "Please ensure the combination of address name and address value doesn't already exist and try again."
IMPORTANT: Marketing and privileged address classification is fixed at ingest time and is not retroactive; bulk-uploaded addresses only affect future messages.
