Summary

The Identity Settings page is where you manage Domain settings. As the platform describes them, these settings "Control which domains contribute to auto-matching activity. These domains are also used as your internal domains when generating communications surveillance reports." You can add a domain and edit an existing one. Managing domains requires identity settings write access; viewing them requires read access.

Prerequisites

  • Login credentials to MirrorWeb Insight

  • Identity settings read access (to view) and write access (to add or edit)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open Identity Settings

Navigate to the Identity Settings page. The heading reads Identity Settings with your organisation name beneath it, followed by the Domain settings section.

Existing domains are listed in a table with the columns Setting name, Domain, and Type. If no domains are configured, the page shows "No domains are configured for [organisation]".

Step 2: Add a domain

Click Add domain to open the "Add domain for [organisation]" dialog. Complete:

  • Name — a name for the setting (for example, "All staff")

  • Domain — the domain value (for example, "example.com")

  • Domain typeStaff, Client, Prospect, Uncategorized, or Personal

Click Add domain (the button shows "Adding..." while it saves), or Close to cancel.

Step 3: Edit a domain

In the table, click the edit (pencil) button on a domain's row to open the "Editing [name]" dialog. Update the Name, Domain, or Domain type, then click Save (the button shows "Saving..." while it saves), or Close.

Notes

  • The Add domain and Edit domain controls are disabled without identity settings write access; the tooltips then read "You don't have access to add a domain" and "You don't have access to edit domains".

  • Domains must be unique. If a domain is not unique, adding or editing it shows an error: "Ensure the domain is unique and try again."

  • The Personal domain type is available for domains only (it is not a selectable identity role).
