Summary
To archive your Bloomberg communications with MirrorWeb, you need to configure your Bloomberg SFTP account so MirrorWeb can connect to it securely. There are three steps: request SFTP access from Bloomberg if you don't already have it, add MirrorWeb's credentials in the Bloomberg Enterprise Console, then send your SFTP details to MirrorWeb.
Prerequisites
Access to MirrorWeb Insight and the relevant permissions for this workflow.
Administrator access to the Bloomberg Enterprise Console.
A Bloomberg SFTP account. Step 1 covers how to request one if you don't have it yet.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Note: if you hit any issues with the steps below, contact Bloomberg Support and share the details from the MirrorWeb Credentials & Information section of this article. They can assist with setting up the SFTP.
Step 1: Request Bloomberg SFTP access (if needed)
If you don't already have a Bloomberg SFTP account, raise a support inquiry with Bloomberg through any of these channels:
Contact your Bloomberg Account Manager directly.
Bloomberg Terminal: type HELP HELP and press Enter.
Bloomberg Customer Support Center: service.blpprofessional.com
Bloomberg Enterprise Console: console.bloomberg.com
If you previously used another archiving provider, you may already have SFTP credentials. In that case, skip to Step 2.
Step 2: Add MirrorWeb's credentials in the Bloomberg Enterprise Console
You need Administrator access for this step. The values you need are in the MirrorWeb Credentials & Information section below.
Log in at console.bloomberg.com, or run EC in the terminal.
Click the Connectivity tab.
Under SFTP, select Monitor and Manage.
Hover over and click your account number.
Click IP Allowlist and add MirrorWeb's two IP addresses.
Click Credentials and upload MirrorWeb's SSH public key.
For MirrorWeb's PGP public key, contact Bloomberg Support through one of the channels listed in Step 1. This may require their assistance to configure.
Step 3: Share your Bloomberg SFTP details with MirrorWeb
Send the following to your MirrorWeb onboarding specialist:
SFTP hostname
SFTP username
Once we have these, MirrorWeb will connect to your Bloomberg SFTP account and begin archiving your communications.
