Summary
Mira is MirrorWeb Insight's AI, and you reach it through its chat assistant. You can describe a communications search in plain language and Mira will "Run a new communications search," resolving "people, platforms, and identity groups before previewing and executing."
The flow is deliberately careful: Mira gathers your parameters, resolves any people or platforms you name, shows you a preview of exactly what will be searched, and waits for you to confirm before running it. Mira can also help you save reusable search templates and set up recurring scheduled searches.
One rule to know: a date range is mandatory. "A date range (start and end) is always required. If not provided, ask the user." Mira understands natural phrasing such as "last week", "yesterday", "last 30 days", or "January 2026".

Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Open the Mira chat assistant
Select the chat icon in the top navigation bar (tooltip "Toggle chat"). The chat offers a Search suggestion, whose prompt is "Help me run a communications search".
Step 2: Describe the search you want
Tell Mira what to search, for example "Search email from jordan.lee@example.com last week". Mira gathers the parameters and resolves any people, platforms, or identity groups you mention. If you name a person, Mira looks them up; if it finds several matches, it asks you to choose. A date range is always required, so Mira asks for one if you have not given it.
Step 3: Review the preview and confirm
Mira shows a preview of what will be searched and waits for your explicit confirmation before running it. If your date range is longer than a month, Mira may gently suggest a smaller range for better performance, but it will proceed with the larger range if you confirm you want it.
Step 4: Run the search and view results
Once you confirm, Mira creates and runs the search, then takes you to the search results page.
Notes
Save a search as a template: say "save this search" and Mira can create a reusable template. It confirms the name and parameters first, and for sharing it confirms the recipient email and access role.
Schedule a recurring search: Mira can create automated searches that run on a schedule — available frequencies are daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually. A "relative" date type adjusts the range each run (for example "last 7 days"), while "absolute" uses fixed dates. Mira confirms all parameters before creating.
View what you already have: Mira can give you a read-only overview of your existing templates and scheduled searches.
Compliance reports (PDF/CSV) are a different feature — for those, Mira directs you to the reports page rather than running a search.
