Summary
Marketing addresses identify email senders or domains whose messages should be excluded from message search results. You manage them on the Marketing Addresses tab under Search exclusions, where you can add an address individually, scope it to specific platforms, choose a match type, and edit, delete, export, or bulk-upload addresses.
Prerequisites
Access to MirrorWeb Insight
Marketing write permission to add (the Add button is disabled with the tooltip "You don't have access to add" otherwise); marketing delete permission to remove
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Open the Marketing Addresses tab
Go to Search exclusions (heading "Search exclusions", subtitle "Manage exclusions for your searches") and select the Marketing addresses tab. The section heading reads Marketing Addresses with the subtitle "Configure marketing email addresses to be excluded from message search results".
Step 2: Open the Add address form
Click Add. A modal titled Add marketing address opens.
Step 3: Complete the address fields
Address name - "Enter an optional name for this address. If left blank, the address will be used as the name." (placeholder "CEO").
Address - "Enter a full email address or platform specific identifier." The placeholder changes with the chosen match type (for example
ceo@mirrorweb.comfor exact, mirrorweb.comfor domain, ceofor partial).Scoped Platforms - "Select the platforms this address should be scoped to. Leave blank to scope to all platforms."
Match Type - choose Exact, Domain, or Partial.
Step 4: Save the address
Click Add (the button shows "Adding..." while submitting). A success toast confirms "Marketing address added".
Step 5: Manage existing addresses
The address appears in the table. Use the Search by name or email address... box and the sort dropdown to find addresses. Each row has an edit (pencil) and delete (trash) action. Deleting prompts "Are you sure you wish to delete ...? You cannot undo this action". Use the download icon to export marketing addresses.
Notes
IMPORTANT: Marketing address classification is fixed at ingest time and is not retroactive. Adding or removing addresses only affects future messages. Match types are exact, partial, or domain.
NOTE: If your organisation uses Sentinel, an information banner on this tab states: "Messages from Marketing addresses are excluded from Sentinel processing."
