How to review Sentinel suggestions

Review and apply AI-generated suggestions for marketing addresses and phrases.

Summary

The Suggestions area surfaces two kinds of recommendation: Suggested Phrases to Exclude and suggested marketing addresses. Reviewing and applying these helps reduce noise in future processing. For each suggestion you can accept it (apply it) or ignore it (reject it), individually or in bulk.

Prerequisites

  • Login credentials to MirrorWeb Insight

  • Phrase suggestions require flag-write access; marketing address suggestions require marketing-write access. The Suggestions sidebar item only appears if you have at least one of these.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open the Suggestions area

In the sidebar, under Sentinel, select Suggestions. You are taken to the suggestions you have access to — Suggested Phrases to Exclude if you have flag-write access, otherwise the marketing addresses page.

Step 2: Review suggested phrases to exclude

The phrases page lists suggestions in a table with columns Phrase and Number of Alerts. You can sort using a dropdown with options such as "Number of Alerts (High to Low)", "Last Seen (Newest to Oldest)", and "First Seen (Newest to Oldest)".

Step 3: Accept or ignore a phrase suggestion

For each phrase, use the row actions to ignore the suggestion or accept it. Accepting a phrase opens a confirmation explaining that the phrase will be excluded "from being flagged in message search results, or being raised as an alert in Sentinel," and that the exclusion name is generated from the first 25 characters of the phrase.

Step 4: Review suggested marketing addresses

If you have marketing-write access, the marketing addresses page lists suggested sender addresses identified from your message data, with the same accept/ignore actions and sorting.

Step 5: Apply or ignore suggestions in bulk

Each page provides bulk action buttons that apply or reject all of the suggestions listed on the current page. A confirmation describes the effect before you proceed.

Notes

Note: Accepting a phrase suggestion adds it to your excluded phrases; if messages still contain other risky phrases, they may continue to be flagged.

Note: If there are no suggestions, the page shows a "No suggested phrases..." (or equivalent) empty state.
