Summary
URL exclusions let you stop specific URLs from being included in web change detection and reporting for a site. You manage exclusions on the site's Web Changes settings tab, where you can add, edit, and remove exclusions and choose how each one matches.
Prerequisites
Access to the Web area of the platform for your organisation.
Web Changes enabled for your organisation (the Settings button appears on a site's instances page only when Web Changes is available).
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Open the site settings
From the Sites list, open a site, then select Settings on its instances page. On the settings page, select the Web Changes tab (the other tab is Overview).
Step 2: Open the Add URL Exclusion dialog
Under URL Exclusions, select Add. (If no exclusions exist yet, the empty state "No URL exclusions configured" also offers an Add button.) A dialog headed Add URL Exclusion opens.
Step 3: Choose the match type
In step 1 of the dialog, Choose type of URL exclusion, select a Match Type:
Prefix Match — blocks all paths matching the prefix and any following paths.
Exact Match — blocks only the exact URL specified.
Step 4: Enter the URL
In step 2, enter the URL to exclude in the URL field (placeholder "https://www.example.com"). Include the full URL with http:// or https://.
Step 5: Save the exclusion
Select Add Exclusion. The button is enabled once a URL and match type are set. A success message confirms "URL exclusion added successfully" and the new exclusion appears in the table with a Prefix or Exact badge.
Notes
To edit an existing exclusion, select the pencil (Edit) icon on its row; to remove one, select the trash (Remove) icon and confirm with Remove Exclusion.
Adding a URL that already exists shows the error "URL already exists. Please enter a different URL."
A maximum of 1000 URL exclusions can be added per site; reaching the limit shows "You have reached the maximum number of URL exclusions."
The settings hint explains: "Configure which URLs should be excluded from future web change detection and reporting. You can specify exact URLs or use prefix matching to exclude individual pages or groups of pages from being monitored for changes."
