Summary
A policy can be Active or Inactive. You change its status from inside the policy editor using the Activate policy / Deactivate policy button. Deactivating stops future messages from being evaluated against the policy; activating resumes evaluation for new messages.
Prerequisites
Access to MirrorWeb Insight
Policy write permission
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Open the policy
On the Policies page, find the policy (you can filter the list by Active / Inactive using the status dropdown) and click it to open the editor. The current status appears as an Active or Inactive badge next to the heading.
Step 2: Click the status button
At the bottom of the editor, click Deactivate policy (if currently active) or Activate policy (if currently inactive).
Step 3: Confirm in the modal
A confirmation modal opens titled "Deactivate" or "Activate" with the policy name and the prompt "Are you sure?". Click Deactivate or Activate to confirm. The button shows "Deactivating..." or "Activating..." while it submits, and a success toast confirms the change.
Notes
IMPORTANT: Status changes are not retroactive. Disabling a policy does not unflag previously flagged messages, and enabling a policy does not flag existing messages. Policies are evaluated at ingest only.
