Summary

A risk category's detail page shows its current configuration, its active detection policy, and a history of policy changes. Open it from the Your categories list on the Risks page. The page has a header card with the category's settings and two tabs: Overview (the current policy) and Activity (the version history and any proposed policy updates).

Prerequisites

  • Login credentials to MirrorWeb Insight

  • Access to the Risk Management area

  • At least one risk category in your organisation

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open the Risks page

In the Risk Management area, go to the Risks page and find the category in the Your categories list.

Step 3: Review the header card

The header card shows the category name and an Active or Inactive badge, an enable/disable toggle ("Disabling stops new detections"), and details: Version, Last Updated, Applied By, a Direction selector (Inbound only, Outbound only, Internal only, or All communications), Input Sources, and any linked Documents.

Step 4: Review the Overview and Activity tabs

On the Overview tab, the current policy is shown in three sections: Detection Patterns, Regulatory Framework, and Exclusions. On the Activity tab, each entry is a policy version (for example "Policy Version 2") or a "Proposed Policy Update" awaiting review, with a diff of what changed. Use Load more to fetch older versions.

Notes

  • Toggling the enable switch off opens a "Disable {name}?" confirmation explaining that "New detections for this risk category will stop. Existing alerts are unaffected."

  • The Direction selector controls which message directions are assessed against the category; its description updates as you change the selection.

  • If a proposed policy update is pending, a banner reads "A new policy version is pending review for {name}" with a link to the Activity tab. To approve or dismiss it, see "How to confirm a risk draft."

  • Linked documents open the Documentation detail page; see "How to view and preview documents."
