Summary

Replay lets you open an archived capture and view the web page as it appeared when it was captured. You start a replay from an instance's detail page. Depending on your organisation, replay opens in either the newer (Kagami) or the classic replay viewer.

Prerequisites

  • Access to the Web area of the platform for your organisation.

  • A published instance. The Replay button is disabled for instances that are not yet published.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open an instance

From the Sites list, open a site, then select View on the instance you want to replay. The instance detail page shows the site name and capture date.

Step 2: Select Replay

In the overview section at the top of the instance page, select Replay. The archived page opens in a new browser tab.

Step 3: View the archived page

The replay viewer displays the page as it was captured at that point in time.

Notes

  • The Replay button is only enabled when the instance is published.

  • If an instance cannot be replayed, the instance page shows an information banner: "This crawl is unable to be replayed. Please contact support for more information".

  • Some organisations also see a Compare option on the instance page to view two captures side by side. See "How to compare two archived captures".

  • Which replay viewer opens (Kagami or classic) depends on your organisation's configuration.
