How to view and browse collections

Browse web archive collections and their associated sites.

Summary

Collections group your archived sites together. The Collections area lists each collection with its name and creation date, and lets you open a collection to browse the sites it contains.

Prerequisites

  • Access to the Web area of the platform for your organisation.

  • The Collections option visible in the sidebar for your organisation.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open the Collections page

In the left sidebar, under the Web heading, select Collections.

The page is headed Collections with the subheading "Browse web archives via collections".

Step 2: Review the collections list

Each collection is shown as a card with its name and its Created date. A default collection is always listed.

Step 3: Open a collection

Select a collection to open its sites. The collection's sites are shown on a Websites page with the subheading "Browse a list of your archived web content".

Step 4: Browse and search the collection's sites

Within the collection you can search by profile name and sort the sites (Name A-Z / Z-A, Newest, Oldest, Instance Count Increasing / Decreasing). Select a site to open its instances.

Notes

  • If no collections exist, the page shows "No collections..." with the message "No collections are available for this organization."

  • If a collection contains no sites, the page shows "No sites..." with the message "There aren't any sites available for this collection."
