Summary

To create a new workflow in MirrorWeb Insight, you choose an input source and a starting template, then build the pipeline on the visual canvas. A new workflow is saved in Draft status. This article covers starting a workflow from the template selector through to saving the draft.

Prerequisites

  • Login credentials to MirrorWeb Insight

  • The workflows feature enabled for your organization

  • Understanding of the input source and review process you want to automate

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open the Workflows list

In the left sidebar Workflows group, click Workflows to open the list page headed Workflows.

Step 2: Start a new workflow

Click the New Workflow button (top right of the list, or in the empty-state panel if no workflows exist yet). This opens the Choose a Workflow Template dialog, with the subtitle Select an input source, then pick a template or start from scratch.

Step 3: Select an input source and template

At the top of the dialog, use the segmented control to select an input source: Communications, Pre-review, or Identity. The template cards below update to match. Pick a template card to open it in the editor.

Step 4: Name and describe the workflow

In the editor, click the pencil (Edit workflow) icon next to the title to open the Edit Workflow dialog. Enter a Workflow Name (required) and an optional Workflow Description, then click Update.

Step 5: Add modules to the canvas

Click Add Modules in the top-left of the canvas to open the modules panel, then drag modules (such as Filter, Risk, Mira, or Assignment) onto the canvas. A module is unavailable to drag once it reaches its maximum allowed count for the input source.

Step 6: Connect and configure modules

Drag from one node's handle to another to create a connection. Click a node to open its configuration panel on the right and complete its required fields. The ... tasks remaining button in the header lists outstanding configuration tasks; when complete it reads No tasks remaining.

Step 7: Save the workflow

Click Save in the header. Save is disabled while there are unresolved validation tasks or no changes to save (the tooltip reads No changes to save). The workflow is created in Draft status.

Notes

Note: A new workflow starts with an input node and an Assignment node already on the canvas; these starter nodes cannot be deleted.

Note: Save cannot be used while the editor reports outstanding tasks. Resolve every item in the task list first.
