Summary

The workflow editor keeps a version history for each workflow. From the editor you can open a read-only history view, browse versions grouped by date, preview an earlier version on the canvas, and create a new workflow from a selected version. This article covers viewing version history and creating a workflow from a previous version.

Prerequisites

  • Login credentials to MirrorWeb Insight

  • The workflows feature enabled for your organization

  • An existing workflow that has at least one saved version

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open the workflow

In the left sidebar Workflows group, click Workflows, then click the workflow card to open it in the editor.

Step 2: Open version history

In the editor header, click the clock icon (tooltip View history) on the right. This opens the read-only version view. The header shows the workflow name and the text "Viewing version from ..." with the version's date.

Step 3: Browse versions in the Version history panel

The Version history panel on the right groups versions by date, with headings such as Today, Yesterday, or the calendar date. Each version is listed by time. The current version is tagged with a Latest badge.

Step 4: Preview a version

Click a version's time entry to load that version on the canvas in read-only mode. Nodes can be selected to inspect their configuration, but they cannot be moved or edited in this view.

Step 5: Create a workflow from a version

With a version selected, click the Create from version (plus) icon next to it. The Create workflow dialog opens, pre-filled with a Workflow name of "{workflow name} (duplicate)" and the original description. Edit the name and description if needed.

Step 6: Confirm creation

Click Create workflow in the dialog (the button shows Creating... while in progress). This creates a new workflow based on the selected version. To leave the history view, use Back to workflow in the top navigation bar.

Notes

Note: The version history view is read-only. You cannot edit nodes directly from it; instead, use Create from version to start a new editable workflow based on a version.

Note: This view does not "restore" a previous version in place. Creating from a version produces a separate new workflow rather than overwriting the existing one.
