Summary

When a message has been edited, MirrorWeb Insight keeps its earlier versions. You can open the version history to see each captured version of the message in sequence, with its content, sender, sent time, and review status.

Prerequisites

  • Login credentials to MirrorWeb Insight

  • Communications access permissions

  • A message that has been edited (edited messages show an "(edited)" indicator)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open the message

Open the message from your search results or message list. If the message has been edited, an (edited) link appears next to the sender name.

Step 2: Open the version history

Click the (edited) link. The version history page opens, with the message on one side and the list of versions on the other. The versions panel header reads Version History.

Step 3: Review the versions

The versions are listed in sequence. Each version shows the sender, the message content (with any flagged terms highlighted), the platform icon, the sent time, and the version's review status icon. Versions that have attachments show a Show attachments control.

Step 4: Open a version's details

Click View details on a version to open its full detail view.

Notes

Note: Version history is available for messages that have edited versions. Messages without edits do not show the "(edited)" link.

Note: Review actions (compliant, non-compliant, escalate) for review and workflow changes are recorded in the message's History rather than the version history. See How to view the audit history for a message.
