Summary

Each message in MirrorWeb Insight has a History section that records the actions taken on it — when it was viewed, marked compliant or non-compliant, escalated, commented on, or exported. You open the history from within the message view.

Prerequisites

  • Login credentials to MirrorWeb Insight

  • Communications access permissions

  • A message open in the message view

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open the message

Open the message whose history you want to review from your search results or message list.

Step 2: Expand the History section

Below the message content (alongside the Attachments section), find the History section. It shows a count badge of the number of events. Click to expand it.

Step 3: Review the history events

The expanded History lists the events for the message. Each event shows the acting user's email, an icon indicating the event type, and a description with the date. Event types include:

  • Viewed

  • Marked as compliant

  • Marked as non-compliant

  • Escalated (showing who it was escalated to)

  • Commented (a note added to the message)

  • Exported

Where an event has a comment, the comment text is shown beneath it.

Step 4: Add a comment (optional)

At the bottom of the History section there is a comment field. Enter text and click Send to add a comment, which then appears as an event in the history. See How to add a note to a message.

Notes

Note: If there are no recorded events, the History shows "No history events at this time".

Note: To export the audit history for a message, use the Export audit history option in the additional actions menu. See How to export a single message.
