Written by Alice Jennings

Summary

To view the original social media post for a captured message in MirrorWeb Insight, you can access the post details directly from the message view. This allows you to see the full context of the social media communication, including any visual elements, engagement metrics, and platform-specific formatting that may not be visible in the message summary.

Prerequisites

  • Login credentials to MirrorWeb Insight

  • Communications access permissions

  • Access to messages from social media platforms (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Navigate to the message

Open the message you want to review from your search results or message list. The message must be from a social media platform to have post viewing capabilities.

Notes

Note: The original post view shows the post as it was captured at ingest time. If the post has been deleted or modified on the original platform since capture, you will still see the version that was archived.

Note: Engagement metrics (likes, shares, comments) reflect the numbers at the time of capture and may not represent current engagement levels.

Important: Some social media platforms may have restrictions on displaying certain content types. If a post cannot be displayed, you will see an error message with available metadata instead.
