How to publish a workflow

Publish a draft workflow to make it active.

Summary

A workflow in Draft status is published from the workflow editor. The Publish button appears only for draft workflows and is enabled once your changes are saved and there are no outstanding validation tasks. This article covers publishing a draft.

Prerequisites

  • Login credentials to MirrorWeb Insight

  • The workflows feature enabled for your organization

  • A workflow in Draft status with all configuration tasks resolved

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open the Workflows list

In the left sidebar Workflows group, click Workflows. Each workflow card shows a status badge — Draft (gray) or Published (green).

Step 2: Open the draft workflow

Click the card of the Draft workflow you want to publish to open it in the editor.

Step 3: Resolve outstanding tasks and save

Hover the ... tasks remaining button to review the Task List. Resolve any listed issues, then click Save. The Publish button is disabled (with the tooltip "Save your change first before publishing") until your latest changes are saved.

Step 4: Publish the workflow

Click Publish in the editor header. The button shows Publishing... while the request is in progress. When it completes, the workflow's status becomes Published.

Notes

Note: The Publish button is shown only for workflows in Draft status.

Note: Publishing is blocked while there are unsaved changes or unresolved validation tasks.
